Cove-Bluff Trail

Cove-Bluff Trail Professional Review and Guide

"Wilder Ranch State Park pleases hikers, mountain bikers, and equestrians with bluffs, beaches, and redwood ridges. The ?at exposed trail along the scalloped coastal bluffs is a 360-degree panoramic treat of blue Paci?c, rich farmland, and tree-studded hilltops.

Like most of California, the history begins with native people. The Ohlone Indians thrived on these coastal prairies until the Spanish explorers arrived and the Franciscan padres established the mission system. Over time the land became part of the Mexican land grants known as “ranchos.” Ranchos were further divided and acquired by new settlers when California became a republic independent of both Spain and Mexico."
