Santa Barbara Botanic Garden

Santa Barbara Botanic Garden Professional Review and Guide

"The Santa Barbara Botanic Garden has seven looping nature trails totaling 5.5 miles. The trails cover a wide variety of habitats on the 65-acre grounds. Through the heart of the garden flows Mission Creek. The trails pass through a canyon, a redwood forest, over bridges, past a waterfall, and across a historic dam built in 1906. This hike is only a suggested route. Many other paths can be chosen to view areas of your own interests."

Started as unique , but now plants are recreations of what is supposed to be official California habitats. See one you have seen them all- but still nice. Costs money to enter. Well stocked store of expensive "official California plants" reading material(same as in many other shops I have seen). The trees on the banks I put in to stabilize the banks- at the request of first the Roman Catholic Church and then some later by request of the State of California for the operation of Santa Barbara Botanic Garden.
