Around January 2017, this trail washed out near the western trail head, not far from Old Ridge Route. I just called 20 April 2018, it is still washed out, no immediate plans to repair. So that leaves just the eastern entry at Pine Canyon Road and Sawmill Road. Which is still a nice out-and-back trail, but not the same.....

AWESOME vistas. Easy trail to navigate. Lots of wild flowers, blue jays and we even saw a fox along the way.

An excellent trail, but not as simple as many guides portray when there is snow on the ground. The snow tends to stay on the road, and turn this trip into a real challenge. My wife and I got stuck and had to winch ourselves out; this was in a modified Wrangler with MT tires.

If there is snow on the ground, it would probably not be wise for a stock vehicle to drive this route.

this was a decent ride for me coming from the antelope valley. it was a little sandy in areas and kind of overgrown, but a good views and nice singletrack downhill. Wish I knew if there was a way to ride singletrack up too.
