These two hikes start out in small, lovely Blackstone Canyon. The longer hike climbs to a fire road on Big Rock Ridge offering great views.

QUEENSTONE has little shade. I went up the 1st 1/2 mile or so of the EASTERN part of BLACKSTONE & then the trail became impossible to find. So, I later went back on QUEENSTONE & went DOWN BLACKSTONE, more or less bushwacking it & even going into the creek itself. Quite exotic, but definitely NOT for the casual hiker, especially alone!
