Cowell-Purisima Trail Professional Reviews and Guides
"This is a sweet stretch of the California Coastal Trail tucked between the Paci?c and land farmed for over 150 years. Except for an unexpectedly short and picturesque dip through a lush coastal scrub canyon, the hike traces the bluffs along a wide ?at trail with unobstructed coastal views. The trail was established with the cooperation of private landowners, land trusts, and the State Coastal Conservancy, resulting in an easement at the west end of agricultural land between Cowell Ranch and Purisima Farms. The deal protects open space, adds another link to the ambitious California Coastal Trail project, and preserves wildlife habitat and over 1,700 acres of farmland."
