North Backbone Trail is a hiking trail in San Bernardino County, California. It is within Sheep Mountain Wilderness and San Gabriel Mountains National Monument. It is 3.5 miles long and begins at 10,057 feet altitude. Traveling the entire trail is 7.3 miles with a total elevation gain of 4,852 feet. Dawson Peak (elevation 9,570 feet) and Pine Mountain (elevation 9,652 feet) can be seen along the trail. The trail ends near Mount San Antonio (elevation 10,066 feet) and Rock windbreak, Rock windbreak, Rock windbreak, Rock windbreak, and another shelter.
