Harbor Island Professional Guide
Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook
"Harbor Island, like Shelter Island (Hike 29, page 102), is an artificial, T-shaped peninsula lined with hotels, restaurants, small-boat marinas, and a grassy linear park fronting the waters of San Diego Bay.
On the concrete sidewalk running the length of the linear park, you’ll meet plenty of other people hanging out on benches, fishing from the sidewalk, watching for birds (which includes at least one resident great blue heron), and strolling or jogging along the path itself. Bikes and skates are not allowed on the path, though they are allowed to mix with the light car traffic on the adjacent roadway."
