Circling Sail Bay Professional Guide
Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook
"More than a decade’s worth of public improvements have literally paved the way for pedestrians, cyclists, Segway riders, and skaters traveling along the curving shoreline of west Mission Bay and its upper extremity, Sail Bay. Concrete paths, smooth enough for roller-skating but barely high enough to avoid being swamped at the highest tides, go right along the bay shoreline.
To complete a loop around Sail Bay, you pass over open water three times via low-profile bridges on sidewalks that accompany busy roads. However, those sidewalks are generously wide and offer some fine views of the blue waters of Mission Bay and the colorful neighborhoods that surround it."
