Doheny State Beach

Doheny State Beach Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"Sunset magazine has named Doheny one of the one hundred best campgrounds in the western United States. A large grassy lawn with picnic areas and shade trees backs a very attractive sandy beach. Surfing is best at the north end of the beach, and an offshore marine refuge attracts scuba divers.

A full-service marina is located at Dana Point Harbor, which borders the beach on the north. The mission of San Juan Capistrano is only about 5 miles away. Stay limit seven days from June through September, fifteen days from October through May. Open all year."
