Saddle Loop Trail Professional Reviews and Guides
"It seems amazing to be able to get out into the wilds immediately south of San Francisco, but San Bruno Mountain offers this opportunity. Here, on chaparral-covered knolls that are often blanketed by coastal fog and buffeted winds, San Bruno Elfin butterflies feed on the nectar of stonecups. This is a special respite from the urbanization that surrounds it. The hike is easy, starting out on a paved, wheelchair-accessible trail that empties onto a gently climbing dirt road. The trail is wide, and easily shared with bikes. Park activities include hiking, biking, and picnicking. No dogs or horses are allowed."
