Tucked against the banks of Putah Creek, this trail loop offers seclusion, bird watching, and a chance to check out the process of restoring agricultural land to native habitat. The south fork of Putah Creek flows east from the coastal mountains north of San Francisco Bay into the Yolo Bypass Wildlife Area and the Sacramento River delta. The flow seems backward, but the creek eventually reaches its goal, the Pacific Ocean. Along the way, it waters farms and fields, contributing to the agricultural lifeblood of the Central Valley.
