Big Duck Lake Trail Professional Reviews and Guides
"Big Duck and Little Duck lakes, along with nearby Horseshoe Lake, are some of the prettiest lakes in the Russian Wilderness. Although the distance from the trailhead to the lakes is minimal, much of the grade is stiff and hikers should be well conditioned to fully enjoy this trip. Trail use is generally light in the wilderness, but you’re likely to see at least one other party on this trip if you’re here on a weekend. The lakes themselves are quite scenic, lined with forest and backdropped by granite cliffs, offering campers, anglers, and swimmers some fine opportunities."
