Tamarack Lakes Trail

Round Valley, California

Tamarack Lakes Trail Professional Review and Guide

"Beneath the rugged ramparts of Broken Finger Peak lie the starkly beautiful Tamarack Lakes. The trail to the lakes is one of the lesser known in the Rock Creek area and you can, at times, find enough solitude for a quiet contemplation of the High Sierran scene. The low number of visitors stems in part from the almost total lack of comfortable campsites around the rocky, sloping shores of the lakes. Backpackers are advised to camp at one of the lakes below and day hike up to the Tamaracks."
