Mill Creek Trail Professional Review and Guide

"It’s early evening on the Mill Creek Trail, but it sure seems a lot later. Broken sunlight filters through the oak and pine down to where I sit along a deep cut in the hillside. The dogs are smart—they’ve found the pool and are hunkered down in the water at snout level. It’s Africa-hot in the canyon, even though I’m parked just a few feet from the water’s edge. My shirt moves to the beat of my heaving chest, as it’s sweat-soaked and sticks to me from the collar down. Rivulets of sweat track down my face, and blowing air from my mouth makes a tiny fountain of salty water."
