Davis Gulch Trail Professional Review and Guide

"No matter the time of year, the Davis Gulch Trail is a wonderful canopy of green that will refresh the soul and enhance the spirit. With the lake close by, there’s also the chance to soak in a secluded bay, chase sticks, and generally take it easy. Numerous gulches bring water to this trail, which meanders down to the lake, then comes out near the bathrooms at the Brandy Creek Marina. If 3.5 miles is all you care to do, you could definitely car shuttle on this hike, but an out-and-back trip is worth the extra steps, especially when the water’s warm and you can take a dip with the dogs midway back to the car. Each turn brings a new and exciting feature for hikers. One gulch may be filled with the sounds of water rushing over boulders; the next will have you gazing at a moss-covered rock wall."
