Clikapudi Trail Professional Review and Guide

"The Jones Fire flared early in the morning on October 16, 1999, near Lake Shasta’s Clikapudi Trail. Driven by 50-mile-per-hour winds, the fire roared through Jones Valley, Bella Vista, and Palo Cedro. By the time it was stopped, it had gone nearly 26 miles—stretching almost to the Sacramento River in Anderson. The fire also damaged this multiuse trail, which was closed to everyone until late 2000. Fortunately, the Forest Service has been diligent, and this trail is again attracting everyone from families and their dogs to fishermen and mountain bikers. Yes, this is a popular destination, but in the off-season (October through May) you and your dog can find the kind of seclusion many millionaires pay top price to achieve."
