Much like Hog Lake Plateau, the Yana Trail is a terminus of Paynes Creek and a seasonal wonder when wildflowers bloom. The grasslands blossom in a pastel mélange of yellow, pink, and blue wildflowers. The short loop around Bass Pond circles a woodland rich in vernal pools, awash in seasonal beauty and flooded with life during spring. The seasonal ponds that dot this trail may only host water for a couple short months, but during that time a multitude of migratory birds utilize the grounds for staging and nesting areas.
