Twin Peaks, a scruffy, boulder-studded promontory rising amid Poway’s suburban streets, is most known for the street it is named after: Twin Peaks Road. After a briefly vigorous climb, it’s fun to poke in and around the fractured outcrops of rock, and to stand on the breezy summit to admire the inclusive view of Poway and its environs. The 2-mile round trip to the top involves a short, very steep segment of hard-packed dirt road, plus another very steep section of narrow trail strewn with jagged rocks, so make sure your shoes have good ankle support and traction. This could be quite an adventure for little ones, as long as they are properly supervised and given assistance at a couple of spots.

Lots of loose granite, some parts are very steep, lots of errosion on train. Doesn't get up high enough to get a really good view but the views are decent. Took a small side trail that was a little adventure but I didn't go to far since I was solo and it was getting very steep. Its ok.

Very steep and slippery due to the decomposed granite that runs throughout the water runoffs on the trails. Great view from the top though. Still a short trip.
