Shell Beach Dinosaur Caves to Pismo Beach Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"If you live on the south Central Coast and don’t want to bother with the long drive to Mendocino, the Dinosaur Caves in Shell Beach is a handy alternative.

With a launch site that’s easy to access and a generally protected shoreline, this mini-Mendo features the opportunity for SLO-county paddlers to sample a brief slice of sea-caving heaven within a mile of the launch. On calm days, even novice paddlers can safely explore the alluring recesses of a number of tunnels and caves."
