Emigrant Wilderness Loop Trail

Emigrant Wilderness Loop Trail Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"This loop travels from forested valleys to spectacular lakes and broad meadows nestled among the rugged peaks of the Emigrant Wilderness. Challenges abound. The trails are in poor condition, often nothing more than deep, rocky trenches churned by years of stock abuse. In some areas the trails disappear and route-finding skills are required; in other areas the trails are quagmires where cattle hooves have sunk deeply into the soft soil. However, the greatest difficulties are the numerous, occasionally hazardous, fords."
