McCain Valley Resource Conservation Area: Lark Canyon Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"Finding the campground: From Pine Valley, drive east 18 miles on I-8, take the Boulevard exit, and drive 2 miles east of Boulevard on Old Highway 80. Turn left onto McCain Valley Road and drive 7 miles.

About the campground: The scenic In-Ko-Pah Mountains provide a boulder-garden setting for the two campgrounds in the conservation area (see also Cottonwood below). Both are nestled among oak trees in an area where bighorn sheep are sometimes seen. Lark Canyon is near a popular OHV driving area. An elevation of 3,500 feet makes for pleasant desert camping, even in summer. Stay limit fourteen days. Open all year."
