A wilderness canoe run through redwood forests. From the orchards and vineyards of the Anderson Valley, the Navarro River courses through remote, richly forested canyons to the North Fork confluence at Paul Dimmick Campground. Navarro River Redwoods State Park protects the rest of the river corridor to the ocean. Steelhead fishing is popular in the fall.

Started in Hendy Woods State Park in Philo against the ranger's suggestion (they said the water level was too low). While we had to get out and pull our canoe a few times this trip was amazing. We had the whole river to ourselves and the scenery was amazing. The guide was very useful and we can't what to do this trip again when the river is a bit higher.
