Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"Chilao has four separate camping loops, all within 0.5 mile of one another. Three of them—Meadow Loop, Manzanita Loop, and Little Pine Loop—are for individual tents and RVs. Across the highway from the visitor center, Devil’s Canyon Vista provides a broad panorama of the San Gabriel Wilderness and Twin Peaks. Elevation 5,300 feet. Stay limit fourteen days. Individual sites open all year; group campground open April through November. (Note: This campground was closed at the time of this writing. Check with the office listed above for current information.)"
