Darwin to Darwin Falls Drive Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"This is an outstanding alternative to entering the park from the west via S.R. 190. From the old mining town of Darwin (occupied but not tourist-oriented), it makes long climbs and equally long, meandering descents through the Darwin Hills. It passes between colorful canyon walls and continues to a cottonwood-shaded spring with tropical fish. Then it provides truly breathtaking vistas across basin-and-range country as it descends to Darwin Falls, a rare year-round 30-foot-high desert waterfall and lush riparian area, and S.R. 190. It ends a mile west of Panamint Springs."
