Jo Pond Trail

Palm Springs, California

Jo Pond Trail Professional Review and Guide

"The Jo Pond Trail, completed in 1994, connects Palm Canyon to the Desert Divide, relentlessly climbing Garnet Ridge to Cedar Spring. It does not pass a lake; rather, it was named for Mr. Pond, a member of the Desert Riders and a trail advocate in the Coachella Valley. Some consider it to be one of the most spectacular trails in the region."

This trail is closed because of the recent fires closing portions of the PCT at Cedar Springs. It has also not been used in many years and could be difficult to navigate. It is also named after MRS. Jo Pond!!!
