Fern Canyon Professional Review and Guide
"Fern Canyon is named for a wall where seeping water once supported a vertical garden of maidenhair ferns. In this drier time, there are fewer ferns, but the canyon is still home to a pleasant oasis. This loop hike is a good way to see many of Palm Canyon’s most notable attractions with only a moderate amount of hiking. In addition to the sandy wash and oasis of Fern Canyon, this trip features views down into the huge Palm Canyon oasis and a ridge hike through fields of barrel and teddy bear cholla cacti."
