Pacific Valley Flats Professional Review and Guide
"Pacific Valley is a flat, four-mile-long marine terrace along the southern Monterey County coastline. The broad expanse extends west from the steep slopes of the Santa Lucia Mountains to the serrated bluffs above the Pacific Ocean. This hike crosses the grassy coastal terrace to the eroded coastal bluff a hundred feet above the ocean. There are dramatic views of Plaskett Rock, offshore rock formations with natural arches, and the scalloped coastal cliffs. Numerous access points lead to the grassland terrace. This hike begins across from the Pacific Valley Ranger Station."
