Skunk Cabbage Section of the Coastal Trail Professional Review and Guide
"This trail is a veritable cornucopia of habitats that leads through massive spruce and melancholy alder stands, into deep green canyons, and along pristine coastal bluffs. Along the way, hikers have a chance to see abundant wildflowers and the very plant that gives the trail its name, the skunk cabbage. Very quiet, observant nature-watchers might even be lucky enough to catch a glimpse of elk through the trees. Terrain: Dirt path through a temperate swamp and second-growth forests with some old-growth, as well as along coastal bluffs and beaches."
