Robbers Peak is on private land. Despite a long and continuing tradition of visitation by hikers, the landowner now discourages access. Instead, this trip climbs to an almost equally high point on public land on the same ridge just to the south-east. From this height, you get a panoramic view of the lowlands to the south and west—a composite of disappearing pastoral landscapes and spreading suburban sprawl.
