Upper and Lower Twin Lakes Professional Review and Guide
"These fraternal twins are connected by more than the narrow umbilical cord of the stream that links them. They are alike in setting as well. Each is rather large, and pleasantly blue, with a shoreline trail that introduces the hiker to the nuances of its shape. Each sports a net of sunbleached logs along its northeast shore, offering a rather obvious clue to the direction of the prevailing winds in the heart of Lassen Volcanic National Park. Highlights: The Twin Lakes lie at the absolute center of the park, serving both as a delightful destination and a hub from which you can reach every corner of the park."
