Bathtub Lake Loop

Old Station, California

Bathtub Lake Loop Professional Review and Guide

"A friendlier lake would be hard to find. Bathtub Lake, small, cupped in a little tree-lined basin, and warmed by the sun, is the perfect destination for families with small children. It offers rock-throwing, wading, swimming, and fishing, all within a short walk from the Butte Lake Campground and picnic area. A neighboring tarn, separated from its more popular neighbor by a forested hummock, is more peaceful and contemplative. Highlights: The trail leads to a sun-warmed lake frequented by swimmers, then to Butte Creek and Butte Lake."
