Is there any sleep aid more potent than a rushing stream? The sound of rushing water always puts me to sleep and keeps me there throughout the night, and that’s exactly what happened at Reyes Creek. Even though we were camped a good distance from the water, the murmur of the creek provided the perfect volume of white noise for peaceful sleeping.

For a primitive camp right off the only car access (S-22) this is a handy place to camp. Especially if you need a real toilet (2)! This is also a wild camp spot if you're doing the desert stretch of the San Diego Sea to Sea Trail. If you don't want to carry all your gear, this is a good place for someone to meet you and have the steak on the grill all ready for you! You don't need a 4-wheel drive either.
