    San Francisco Bay Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"Home, sweet home—an incredible place to explore. The good news is that San Francisco Bay is getting better for fly rods every year! This is the inland sea of northern California, and it’s virtually untapped when it comes to our sport, though there has been an increase in the number of guides who diligently work on learning the intricacies of this vast habitat. A core group of dedicated fly fishers have expanded everyone’s understanding of the striped bass and halibut fisheries around these parts. It’s a great adventure with ample rewards. Types of Fish: Striped bass, halibut, leopard shark, smelt, and perch. This fly-fishing chapter describes the "where, when, and how" for fishing in this area. It includes a full-page map and information on the known hatches, suggested equipment to use, the best flies to use, season, limits, nearby accommodations, and camping."
