This easily accessed, delightfully straightforward hike along shady Lewis Creek follows the historic path of the Sugar Pine lumber flume. The pine-carpeted trail stretches more than 3 miles crossing two scenic footbridges in a long, gradual uphill with a few steep spurts where the trail rises above the creek. The highlight of this hike is the journey itself rather than the destination.

This trail has been my spot for the last 13 years. There is so much to see and do around the area. Old mine parts along the river banks, waterfalls, biking and bouldering near by. Awesome in any season, beautiful creek flowing thru the whole area.

Nice casual stroll along creek, several locations where can scramble down to the stream for refreshing swim and enjoy the wildlife!
