An unlikely granite summit peering out of the pine and fir forest, with views of the Sierra and the San Joaquin Valley. The hike makes for a fine, short leg-stretcher, and the area offers good rock-climbing. Fresno Dome is a pleasant diversion when driving south out of Yosemite, or for escaping the heat in Fresno, or as a warm-up for adventures to come. It’s the easiest hike in this book. The dome is a great spot for a picnic, and it’s an increasingly popular rock-climbing area.

I can't believe there aren't any reviews of this hike. The views from the top of this hike are spectacular! It may not be quite as beautiful as some views in Yosemite but almost guaranteed you'll have the place pretty much to yourself. My wife and I got married here and it was such a wonderful location. The hike to the top is short and easy. I would say the hardest part of this hike is the drive there but really that's part of the adventure.
