Cora Lakes

Oakhurst, California

Cora Lakes Professional Review and Guide

"This half-day hike visits one of the dozens of lake basins in the broad Granite Creek drainage, which is immediately south of Yosemite National Park. The trail tours subalpine forests, features far-ranging vistas, and leads to a pleasant, forested lake basin."

The Trail is closer to 5 miles up the Isberg Trail to Cora Lakes. We did this trip as a Boy Scout over nighter. The trail is challenging as it is mostly UPHILL.. Cora Lakes is beautiful and the fish were biting when we were there. Travel with a water filter as pack animals are prevalent on the trail. The mosquitoes were vicious so also have deet handy.
