This hike strolls through 4,000 years of very colorful history. Beginning as a Coast Miwok village, Olompali Park has a history that continues through Spanish missions, cattle ranches—and even a hippie commune that was once home to the Grateful Dead! An interpretive booklet from the visitor center explains the park’s history in greater detail. Terrain: Dirt path and gravel road through oak woodland.
