Tuteur Loop Professional Review and Guide
"Skyline Wilderness Park was formerly part of the Napa State Hospital, dating back to the 1870s. The park was opened to the public in 1980. John Tuteur was very instrumental in the formation of the volunteer-run park. The Tuteur family ranch covers 1,300 acres of open grasslands and scenic ridgetops adjacent to Skyline Wilderness Park. The family donated a trail easement through their cattle ranch, part of the Napa- Solano Ridge Trail System. The Tuteur Loop, opened to the public in 2005, is a 1.3-mile trail that begins at the far southeast corner of Skyline Wilderness Park above Lake Marie."
