The northern stretch of the Desert Divide is one of the most rugged and spectacular ridges in Southern California. The wellbuilt PCT runs along the Divide, and offers fine hiking along this otherwise inaccessible terrain. This one-way trip starts in Idyllwild and ends in the scenic Garner Valley. Many variations are possible, including climbing some of the peaks along the way and extending the hike in either direction.
