Desert View Trail Professional Reviews and Guides
"This family-friendly hike is an easy introduction to the pleasures of Mt. San Jacinto State Park. It tours forest, meadow, and creek, as well as taking you to impressive vista points looking into the desert from the sheer east slopes of San Jacinto. There is a short Desert View Loop Trail and an even shorter Nature Loop Trail. Interpretive signs along the path explain some of the flora and fauna, while park volunteers periodically lead guided tours; ask at the Long Valley Ranger Station for more information. Kids may enjoy scrambling on the rocks and fallen logs; teach them not to trample the inviting but fragile meadow."
