Spectacular exposures of colorfully banded and folded metamorphic rock gave “Rainbow Canyon” its so-far unofficial name. The canyon’s colorful nature is enhanced even further during a peak wildflower season, when the place looks like a flower shop and smells like a honey garden.

A great and easy day hike. So much color and it wasn't even wild flower time. The trail description fails to mention a barbed wire fence that you have to cross to get into the canyon at the beginning of the hike. Some scrambling is required.
