There is an “easy” route to climb Mount Baldy, a moderate way, and a straight-out difficult trek. This trail follows the Bear Canyon Trail from Mount Baldy Village, gaining 6,000 feet of elevation in 6 miles. It is one of the toughest hikes in the Angeles National Forest that doesn’t require special skills. The views are magnificent, the traffic infrequent, and the workout unmatched.
