"The Frog Pond Wetland Preserve is a 1 7-acre wildlife habitat in Del Rey Oaks. The preserve has a freshwater pond, grassland mead- ows, marshland, and coastal live oak woodlands. The tranquil wetland is a habitat for the tiny Pacific tree frog and a large vari- ety of resident and migratory birds. The trail circles the perim eter of the reserve through several diverse plant communities— riparian willows, seasonal wetlands, oak woodlands, redwoods, Monterey pine, grasslands, and coastal sage scrub. Five varieties of mushrooms can be spotted in the oak woodlands."
