"This trip o?ers snowshoers a great way to experience some of the best scenery the park has to o?er. Lake Helen was named in tribute to the ?rst woman known to have scaled 10,457-foot Lassen Peak, Helen T. Brodt, in 1864. Positioned below the south slope of the mountain, the picturesque lake a?ords superb views of the park’s namesake peak.
Along the way, various other park landmarks are visible, including Brokeo? Mountain, Mount Diller, Diamond Peak, and Eagle Peak. In addition, the route passes directly by Sulphur Works and skirts not far from Bumpass Hell, two of the park’s most popular geothermal areas in summer.
