Caspar Uplands Trail Professional Review and Guide
"This outer sandbar break produces small, peeling waves inside a well-protected cove. The break at Caspar Creek is located within a large, picturesque cove. The bluffs on either side of this cove protect its beach and waves from northwesterly wind.
However, being sheltered also means that the break at Caspar Creek doesn’t get a lot of swell energy. As a result, the waves are slow and peeling, making it a very safe learning spot. Unless there’s a strong west swell visiting, you’ll want a longboard to surf here. Like most creek breaks, Caspar Creek is best after a rain when the creek deposits fresh sand."
