Coyote Ridge Trail Professional Reviews and Guides

"Valley and ridgetop, ocean and bay—the views along this invigorating trail are expansive and unobstructed. This route encompasses rigorous and exposed terrain, climbing steeply from the floor of Tennessee Valley to the ridgetop, and descending with equal vigor back to the valley bottom. By exposed I mean it’s hot: The only shade is along the first part of the loop in Tennessee Valley, and at the very end, along the Miwok Trail. Regardless of your mode of travel, you’ll have to pace yourself—which is not a problem, given that a rest stop enables you to better enjoy lovely views of the glittering Pacific and the Farallon Islands, Pirates Cove and the cove at Muir Beach, and, in the distance, the Point Reyes headlands."
