Minaret Falls Campground

Minaret Falls Campground Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"When you drive down the dirt road into the campground, silvery Minaret Falls leaps out at you. On my last visit, even in late September the water cascaded down the mountainside like streams of crystal.

Minaret Falls Campground is popular. Be sure to phone rangers ahead of time to make sure it’s open and see how crowded it will be. Try to plan a trip before or after the prime summertime season and arrive on Thursday if you want to spend the weekend. The area is so popular that during the summer, hikers (not campers) are required to park their cars at the Mammoth Ski Resort and take the intravalley shuttle down."
