Guadalasco Trail

Guadalasco Trail Professional Review and Guide

"Located in Point Mugu State Park, north of Malibu. Highlights: Guadalasco is a fun singletrack without a lot of trail hazards to slow you down. This is a great trail to practice your singletrack skills. A couple of the climbs will also test your stamina. Hazards: Watch out for hikers and other bikers. Sometimes this section of the Pacific Coast Highway is closed due to heavy rains."

One one the most complete ride I've done. Guadalasca trail is fabulous. Technicality, great sceneries, flowers and bunnies on the side, make you want this way uphill to last forever. I finished by taking the overlook trail all the way down, which is OK for bikes and allows you to embrace Point Mugu park on one side and the ocean on the other (add 1.5 miles and ~100 feet elevation gain). Free parking on the PCH, just don't let any valuable in your car. $3 map of the trails available at the entrance of the campground will make your ride way easier than the approximate drawing provided here.
