Gardisky Lake Trail

Lundy, California

Gardisky Lake Trail Professional Review and Guide

"This short, demanding cardio sprint is an incredibly rewarding hike but best appreciated after a couple of days of acclimatization. Even if you feel an adrenaline spike coming on because it’s less than a mile, it’s not fair or safe to crank your dog from sofa or backyard mode straight into Gardisky gear. Start this hike in the morning when the trail is still in the shade of pines and cool of spring melt-fed grasses. The trail climbs relentlessly, tempered only by the occasional switchback."
