Manzana Schoolhouse Trail

Manzana Schoolhouse Trail Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"Manzana Schoolhouse is an incredible all-day adventure or great beginner overnight backpack. The path is relatively level, shaded, and filled with excitement for the intrepid explorer. The entire trip follows lovely Manzana Creek to its confluence with the mighty Sisquoc Wild and Scenic River. The low elevation of this hike can make it hot and dry during mid- to late summer, and the creek may be too high to cross safely during winter rains and times of high runoff. Early spring is perhaps the best time to take this hike due to the wildflowers and wildlife in the area, though late fall is just as nice due to the lower frequency of people using the trail."
